Outcome

As well as building a more user centric application feature which allows users to schedule their payments in advance, ensuring timely and hassle-free transfers, "Send" can experience great business projection from the new feature through; 1. Increased transaction volume 2. Additional revenue streams

"Send" is a leading cross-border payment platform in Africa that enables individuals and businesses to transfer money securely and efficiently worldwide but lacks the schedule payment option. To enhance its user experience and provide greater convenience and to understand the requirements and pain points of Send's user base, I conducted an extensive user research. I gathered feedback through surveys, interviews, and user testing sessions. The research aimed to identify common challenges faced by users when making cross-border payments and determine their preferences regarding scheduling payments. Insights from this research formed the foundation for designing an intuitive and user-friendly Schedule Payment feature.

This feature allows users to schedule their payments in advance, ensuring timely and hassle-free transfers. In this case study, I outlined the process of designing the Schedule Payment feature on Send, focusing on how user needs and industry best practices will guide its development. I focused on creating a user interface that simplified the process of scheduling payments. I ensured that the Schedule Payment feature seamlessly integrated with the existing Send platform. The feature was typically accessible within the payment flow, allowing users to select the desired schedule option during the transaction process. Clear instructions and visual cues were incorporated to guide users through the scheduling process effectively

To address varying user needs, I designed the Schedule Payment feature to provide customization and flexibility. Users could select specific dates for their scheduled payments. Additionally, I included options for recurring payments, enabling users to set up regular transfers without the need for repetitive manual input. Customization parameters, such as setting reminders and notifications, were also considered to ensure users remained informed about their scheduled payments.

Before releasing the final prototype, I conducted an extensive user testing. I recruited a diverse group of users to assess the feature's usability, effectiveness, and performance. Feedback from this testing phase was invaluable in identifying any issues or areas for improvement. I iterated on the feature based on user feedback, making necessary adjustments to ensure a seamless and reliable user experience.
